lyrics

And as the days droll on
I find I’m running out of numbers;
These calculations are unkind.
And soon the walls are rumbling,
Then the room becomes sublime.
A dream, a daze, a trade of sorts,
A means to life…

And now I stare up at the ceiling
Of plaster and plastic glowing stars.
Is it me, or do they fall slightly?
If only the Heavens weren’t lonely.

Meanwhile somewhere else
The sunlight streams through open blinds.
Someone’s too fair to shun the day.
Too many streams are flooding,
Too many storms are looming strong,
To keep these blue skies from a song.
All things in time…

And now all the bombs lay in silence.
A sick man sits at a full canvas,
Brush ready, but with nowhere to paint
Dejected, he signs, “A domani.”
